This is an excellent opportunity for students to familiarise themselves with Arabic as a language and become familiar with Islamic texts in preparation to begin studying the specialised Islamic sciences from the original Arabic texts. The two years consist of compulsory modules. These two years focus on building competencies in the Arabic language so that students are confident to read Arabic fluently without diacritics (Tashkı̄l), are able to translate the Holy Qur’ān, Arabic text from books of Fiqh and Hadı̄th and are able to write Arabic. The Classical Arabic Studies is a two year course for those who are more serious about learning. Monday, Wednesday and Friday (6:00pm – 9.30pm) Unit 4: Arabic Morphology (Level 2) Unit 5: Application of Tarkeeb ![]() ![]() Unit 2: Basic Arabic Grammar (Level 2) Unit 3: Arabic Syntax (Level 2) Unit 1: Etiquettes of Students Unit 2: Tafsir of the Holy Qur’an Unit 3: Sirah of the Prophet (saw) Unit 4: Stories of the Prophets Unit 4: Death and Burial Unit 5: Fiqh of Fasting Unit 6: Fiqh of Zakat Unit 7: Hajj and Umrah Unit 2: Fiqh of Purification Unit 3: Fiqh of Prayer The Arabic Language modules run Wednesday 7:15pm – 8.30pm. The course modules run Monday and Friday 7:15pm – 9.30pm. This year has been designed for those students who wish to progress to Year 1 – This year has been designed for beginners who are new to learning. This is an excellent opportunity for students to familiarise themselves will Islamic learning, to join a community of students and Muslim scholars and to spiritually boost Iman and character. The two years are modular and students can pick and choose their preferred modules. The two year course is designed to teach the essentials of Creator and wider society. The Islamic Foundations Programme is a two year Programme for those who are of the basics of Islam. ![]()
